Tony Heaton MDes RCA
Born in Manchester in 1944 Tony originally studied Interior Design at Manchester College of Art and Design. After travelling to Florence - Italy on a Scholarship to study architecture, he then completed his design training at The Royal College of Art, London, under the Professorship of the late Sir Hugh Casson RA. During his early career, he worked for a wide variety of commercial and domestic clients: including, Cunard QE2 Cruise Liner, Pilkington Glass, Fisons Pharmaceuticals, Cairo Beverages, La Famiglia, Sheikhs and Chelsea Harbour. He has travelled and worked in Washington, Paris, Zurich, Berlin, Kuwait, Dubai, Cairo, Moscow and London. His home and studio is a converted rope factory in Dorset, where he lives with Dotty, his English springer spaniel. He now has a new springer puppy called Flax and his new card of Daisy and Dotty. They walk and work along the Jurassic coast - England’s 1st Natural World Heritage site. He works in mixed media – line and coloured pencil and crayon and from his design and architectural background, produces drawings linked to famous authors, playwrights, historical and heritage sites.
